As the Founder of Intuitive Nutrition, Philippa believes that Nutritional Counselling is more than just telling you what and what not to eat. It is about finding out how you, as a unique individual, function and operate in today’s world and how your food and life-style choices may optimise that.
Philippa studied Functional Medicine Health Coaching with the FMCA (USA) in 2018 and is a certified Health Coach as well as having 20 years experience as a practicing dietitian. She has much experience in Behaviour Change and believes she is not the ‘dictator of what you eat’ but rather your ‘guide’ in figuring out what works best for you.
Philippa specialises in gut health, the impact of stress and adrenal health on physiology and biochemistry, ‘sticky’ weight and Insulin Resistance and a special interest in Behaviour Change. She is well-versed in many dietary protocols in including Intermittent Fasting, the Ketogenic Diet, Banting and many more.
Philippa operates on a Functional Perspective – looking for the root cause of illness rather than focussing on only treating presenting symptoms.
Why Intuitive Nutrition? Intuitive Eating is not a diet. In fact, it’s exactly the opposite. It’s about re-learning to eat outside of the diet mentality, putting the focus on your internal cues (aka your intuition) like hunger, fullness and satisfaction, and moving away from external cues like food rules and restrictions.
